We're well and truly in the swing of wedding season at the moment, and while I have a few moments to spare I thought I'd preview this weekend's wedding, which is taking place in Bradford.
Nat and Chris are getting married at Oakwood Hall, a Victorian mansion in Bingley, and I will be there covering the wedding from start to finish.
This wedding video will be a significant one for Smith&Hirst wedding videographers - it will be the first one using the new Sony camera! We recently upgraded, which will mean from now on married couples will be receiving a higher quality than ever wedding video from us!
It complements the new tripod we also started using recently, which is helping us create better panning shots, and gives greater confidence with still shots, too.
But enough of the technical stuff - you're wondering what this Saturday's wedding's going to be like, aren't you? Well, we're expecting it to be a very typical Yorkshire wedding. Chris is a Bradford City fan, and as much as he pushed for it, I'm not sure Nat will have let him get away with featuring the club's colours anywhere in the wedding!
The ceremony will be taking place at midday, and with the whole day taking place at Oakwood Hall, we don't need to worry about rushing between ceremony and reception.
The couple have been quite hush-hush with the details of their wedding, so we can't say much until - hopefully- they give us permission to post a clip on here once the wedding video has been edited by Laura. What we will say is, though, that with a large number of guests travelling to the wedding from all over the country, and with the weather on Saturday set to be a pleasant, sunny 20 degrees, it looks to be another beautiful big day that we'll be capturing!
If you're considering a wedding video - and if you're getting married in Yorkshire (or just outside of Yorkshire - we're flexible) - check out this blog post we read recently. It's a cool alternative wedding site called Rock & Roll Bride which we take a look at from time to time, and definitely worth a visit.
Once you've read the blog post, get in touch with us - our contact details are here. We still have some dates available in September and October, but sadly we are fully booked for August. As well as two weddings in Bradford, we're covering weddings in Rutland and the Lake District... So yes, we do venture out of Yorkshire from time to time!
We both look forward to hearing from you.
